Some people dream of getting married on a vineyard in Tuscany and some people want their wedding day to be that amazing party their friends will rave about for years after. Brielle and Stephen decided to sacrifice nothing and have the best of both worlds. They chose one of the most magical venues in Santa Barbara County, the Sunstone Villa.
For dinner, they asked that we create a menu with delicious comfort foods as well as classic rustic Italian cuisine. The result was an incredibly fun menu with stations of food where the guests could walk up to fill their plates at their leisure. We had a grilling station with skirt steak, cumin chicken, pancetta wrapped shrimp, and local Santa Ynez Valley sausages. There was a comfort food station with mac and cheese, and mini grilled cheese with tomato soup, beautiful seasonal salads, and our housemade flatbread pizza cooked in Sunstone's wood burning oven. It was so much fun! Nothing compares to the charred crust of a brick oven pizza. It felt just like my last visit to Italy!
If you can’t decide between rustic beauty or an epic celebration, the Sunstone Villa is your location. Just make sure you put pizza on the menu.
Cheers!
